The visual, and the cultural information feeding into it, are my great passions. This has brought about a varied career. It began with training at Colchester and Hornsey art schools and several one-person exhibitions.

It continued to include working for the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, in public relations, as a Regional Director of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and as a university senior lecturer in travel and tourism marketing. My books and articles have been on historic architecture and gardens, lifestyle and interiors, culture, and travel and tourism.

Since returning to art, my aim has been to make a visual response to what is catching my eye or capturing my thought.
